THIS is what I’d see if I were goin anywhere, but I’ve seen them too many times. Don’t want to get sick of ’em. Awesome local powerpop/indie rock at a great venue, on the best indie label of the moment, Park The Van Records.

House music spun by Rob Paine, Wilyum and Summerjoy. Hey- is she the same hottie who used to work at Cue Records way back? ‘Nother question: Where’s my boy Zach?

Rob Paine is founder of Solomonic Sound System which offers one of the oddest musical pairings: house and dancehall. Rob and Co. produce their own house music on the Worship Record label, but also have weekly residencies spinning roots/culture/dancehall vibes. They used to do it every Friday at the former Filos. Now its every Sunday at Medusa.

Note: They’ll be doing the WMC in Miami on March 23 with philly expat/ reggae artist El Feco.

And don’t forget the St. Paddy’s Day parade on the Parkway this Sunday, March 11 noon to 3:30.
Worst.
Parade.
Ever.
…but good excuse to get out of the house and drink outside. Gotta love Philly’s lax open container laws!!
